Is it possible to release this Herb Infused Oils recipe in transcript form, as the video feature on my computer does not work very well – keeps stopping and starting again after a long period of time.

Thanks for your comment. I don’t think that email is the best method for this. Email can easily be lost amongst hundreds of other messages or can end up in the spam folder. My suggestion would be to send physical mail to a wide number of establishments. In the package, include a sample or two of your soap along with a “menu” of your other products. On your menu, be sure to include pictures and descriptions next to each item. Explain how your soap will improve the satisfaction of their visitors=) Try to follow up with a phone call a few days after the package is anticipated to arrive. Keep us posted on how it goes!

Hi, Thank you so much for the fantastic tips and ideas. I am new at this and want to sell my soaps however I am not sure if I am doing anything right or wrong. I am going to a market for a month now and only made 3 sales however, I am doing a survey while I am there with the survey I am giving away free soap.

I wanted to ask what do you say when you speak to the hotels, guesthouses do you ring or would you recommend a email instead and then ring if no reply has been made.

What to write on the email is another issue or what to say on the phone. I have to get this business rolling as I cannot stand it when I am not financially independent. I think I am loosing sleep why not selling. Please your help will be much apprecitated.

I would say oxides if you want to stay natural. Herbs can do a good job but not always consistent. Then there are the synthetic colorants. Planet Earth has a good selection of both natural and synthetic colorants.

I am really up for this.Ingredients have always been my passion and with my 30 years plus of working in a lab and clinical research,I have a need to know why things work and what works.I think it is important to be able to educate the public on why soap is a good thing.They are under the misconception that Lye soap is bad and not understanding that it is an organic compound.it is koh that is actually inorganic and man made to make those favorite liquids.
And not to mention parabens.

Monthly articles are a great idea! You might receive so many submissions that you’ll need someone or a panel to review!

I sometimes find I’m spending more time researching and reading than doing! I like your newsletter and website because I can select articles and topics I’m interested in but don’t have to spend hours and hours searching through numerous sites.

Whateverr you decide, I’m sure it will be great!

Hey there! I am very interested in being a regular contributer to the site and love your new and inspiring idea! I am a soaper of 20 years, cold process and hot process. I am listed as an advanced soapmaker and teacher with the Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild and am currently in the Masters program. I am also the founder, lead mentor and master soapmaker of the Soapmaking Historical Guild where we soap over an open fire demonstrating 1800′s soaping techniques. I work from my home studeo, the San Diego Natural History Museum, and the SHG works out of Old Town San Diego State Historic Park.
