The melt and pour method of soap
making is often the first method beginners learn. With this process, a
pre-made glycerin soap base is melted and poured into molds. Depending
on which recipe the soap maker is using, different oils and ingredients
are added to create a specific soap blend.
One of the bonuses of the melt and
pour methods is that the soap maker doesn't have to handle lye.
However, since a pre-made soap base is used, the soap maker doesn't
have the option to control all of the ingredients of their creation.
